CJM Finds Vestments for Prison Chapel
"We received the vestments you sent us today. We were like two small kids at Christmas as we opened the box and took out each of the vestments."
So began a latter of thanks from Robert, the Catholic Representative at Crossroads prison. He continued, " I had a tear in my eye when I saw them. I thought of how much it will make a difference to our Mass with our congregation of St. Dismas."
After talking with their new bishop, the priest who celebrates Mass with Crossroad's inmates told Robert he would need vestments at the prison. With no other resources available, Robert wrote to CJM to ask if any vestment might be available. CJM Chaplain, Fr. John Vogler, agreed to contact some closing churches and was able to send the needed vestments. Robert concluded, "We shall tell God what a great thing you did for our church."
